HKT Hong Kong Enterprise Cyber Security Readiness Index 2021
The Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) has recently released the results of the “HKT Hong Kong Enterprise Cyber Security Readiness Index 2021”. The Overall Index comprises four areas: “Policy and Risk Assessment”, “Technology Control”, “Process Control” and “Human Awareness Building” to fully understand the current security environment and changes in local business.
In terms of “Technology Control”, HKT has been offering a free anti-malware and phishing service exclusively for current business broadband customers. This can help filter out malicious software and websites. The service acts as the front line of defense for enterprises to block third-party cyber attacks, and allows SMEs to enjoy enterprise-grade network security without additional costs.
The survey showed that enterprises performed less well in “Cyber Security Awareness Training” and “Third Party Risk Management”, scoring 27.6/100 and 38.6/100 respectively. To help business strengthen their employee’s security awareness, HKT sends out a “Monthly Cybersecurity Report eDM” to business broadband customers to provide practical cybersecurity information and advice.
